This was the last chance we had to fish in Arkansas before the thunderstorms came in so we decided to do a catch and cook. TJ told me that there are three fish that people mainly eat: crappie, walleye and Kentucky bass. To my surprise, we managed to catch all three types of fish for the perfect chance to taste them all at once and compare. We also caught many Shad on a gill net and I was very curious to see how they taste. No one wanted to try them at first, but in the end everyone had one! … On second thought, I think it’s a tie between crappie and walleye for flavor and which fish I would target if I were to cook and eat one.
